We are now seeking a self-motivated dental assistant who understands the importance of good service and patient care
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
At Folktandvården Strömstad, you'll meet patients of all ages with diverse healthcare needs.
As a dental assistant with us, you play a crucial role in ensuring patients feel well-received and comfortable during their visit. You'll utilize your full competence while the position requires creativity, empathy, and a service-oriented approach.
The position includes:
- Assisting during examinations and treatments
- Working with patients on preventive treatments, introductory sessions, oral health counseling, or habituation treatments
- Working in sterile areas and reception

Competence Requirements and Profile
- Trained dental assistant with certification from MYH (Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education)
- Interest in both pediatric and adult dental care
- Swedish language skills equivalent to Swedish high school or C1 level in both speaking and writing
- Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently and wisely
- Capable of maintaining a stable and calm demeanor during high-pressure situations
- Ability to collaborate and interact with people in a sensitive manner
If you're new to the profession, you'll receive an individually tailored supervision program during the initial period. This program is part of our two-year development program for newly trained dental assistants.
About the Recruitment Process
Candidates not already employed will be contacted by an HR recruiter for an interview. After the application period, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 47 and 48.
Västra Götaland Region will conduct background checks before employment.
