**Main Responsibilities and Tasks**
The Specialist Clinic for Pedodontics in Gothenburg is a referral center for the treatment of children and adolescents with increased dental care needs, both medically and dentally.
The clinic consists of three units, one located at Odontologen, one at Mölndal Hospital, and the third at Östra Hospital. We provide specialist dental care for children and adolescents up to 19 years of age. We also perform anesthesia dental care at several hospitals in the region.
The operations at Odontologen and Mölndal work with children and adolescents who have primarily been referred from general dental care or healthcare. They may be patients with dental anxiety and caries (approximately 30%), functional variations, and chronic diseases (approximately 30%) and/or surgical interventions (approximately 30%).
We have a close collaboration with the Department of Pedodontics at the University of Gothenburg and have several development and research projects underway. We also participate in the region's specialist training program and currently have 5 specialist training positions placed at the clinic.
The clinic is now seeking a dental hygienist to be based at our facility at Odontologen, with the possibility of also working at Mölndal.
**The position includes, among other things:**
- Being an important part of the clinic's patient flow of referred and follow-up patients.
- Conducting your own examinations and identifying, assessing, and planning appropriate oral health interventions.
- Some assistance may be required.

**Qualifications and Profile**
- Licensed dental hygienist
- Interest in pediatric and adolescent dentistry
- Proficiency in the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish high school or Swedish C1 in both spoken and written form
- Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
- Ability to present a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
- Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner
- Contribute to the development of the operation by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work
- Previous work at a Pedodontics clinic is an advantage
If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentorship program during your first year. The mentorship is part of our development program, which also includes networking meetings, team and communication training, and observation at a specialist or general dental clinic.
**About the Recruitment Process**
The first step in the recruitment process is a digital interview with HR. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 49-50.
