ABOUT THE POSITION Carsmart is a SaaS company founded in 2010 and part of the KGK Group since 2013, a strong group with operations in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and the Baltics. Their platform offers a smart choice for innovative Fleet Management solutions with a modern SaaS platform that consolidates administration and invoicing in one place, aiming to provide their customers full control, lower costs, and more time to focus on their core business. They develop and own their systems in-house, which makes them fast, flexible, and able to work closely with their customers' needs. As a system developer at Carsmart, you will be a key player in a tight-knit team that transforms ideas into sustainable solutions. You will work on further developing their platform, influence technical decisions, and contribute to future-proofing Carsmart's systems. The team works in an agile manner with daily scrum meetings, new development, and improvement of existing code base, with ongoing code reviews to ensure high quality. We are looking for someone with broad knowledge in both frontend and backend, with a particular passion for frontend and design. The team currently consists of four developers, and you will collaborate closely with the Tech Lead and Product Owner. Working hours are Monday-Thursday 08-17 and Fridays 08-16, with summer hours (08-16) during June, July, and August. RESPONSIBILITIES The role involves both new feature development and improvement of existing code base to further develop Carsmart's platform. You will work on the entire development cycle, from idea to implementation and quality assurance, in close collaboration with the team in an agile environment. You will play a crucial role in design, development, maintenance, and planning. The tech stack includes AWS Cloud, React for frontend, Java and Kotlin for backend development, React Native apps, as well as Springboot and Ansible. * Design, develop, and implement new platform functionality * Maintain and improve existing code base * Troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure solution quality * Participate in planning, code reviews, and technical discussions * Contribute to the team's collective skills development WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO Has several years of experience with similar tasks and can work independently with React and Typescript. Experience designing cloud-based applications and technical knowledge spanning both frontend and backend is a plus. As a person, you have great drive and willingness to learn and grow, are familiar with agile work and code reviews, and can build sustainable, high-quality solutions. - Deep understanding of coding practices and modern architectural patterns - Several years of professional experience with React, Typescript, and UX/UI - Fluent in both Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work - Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent education in a relevant field It is merit if you have - Knowledge of Figma - Experience with React Native app development - Knowledge of Java and Kotlin, as well as Springboot - Knowledge of nx-monorepo and database design - Practical experience designing cloud-based applications (AWS) To succeed in the role, you should have the following personal qualities: - Adaptable - Goal-oriented - Responsible - Intellectually curious Our Recruitment Process This recruitment process is managed by Academic Work, and our client's wish is that all inquiries about the position be sent to Academic Work.
