ServiceNow Systems Developer

Job Description We are Gothenburg! Now we need you who are curious and want to help develop and manage the future ServiceNow platform within the City of Gothenburg! At the Service Applications unit, we manage ServiceNow for the City of Gothenburg. Within the unit, you will be part of a team of 18 people, of which 12 will work together with you on management and development of our ServiceNow platform. ServiceNow is the platform we use for various types of IT cases such as incidents, orders, and support for our users, targeting approximately 1,000 administrators in the city. We need to grow, and we are seeking someone who enjoys working with development and wants to improve systems with good code and creative solutions. As a ServiceNow developer, you will work alongside our requirements analysts, system managers, and clients. Here, you will collaborate with experienced professionals who enjoy sharing their knowledge. In a spirit of community and pursuit of shared goals, you will work on diverse tasks. One day a tricky bug, the next day a new technical solution, and the third day an improvement in the existing platform. Your primary task is development and implementation of functions in ServiceNow. The work involves a high degree of technical complexity and includes analysis and breakdown of requirements/needs in dialogue with requirements analysts and the business. Example tasks: - Write, test, and maintain code according to established routines and guidelines. - Troubleshooting and bug management of advanced complexity. - Document code, system architecture, and technical solutions. - Develop solution proposals and estimated time based on identified needs and requirements that realize value and cost-effectiveness. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with a college education in a field we consider relevant, or equivalent experience we deem comparable. You have several years of experience in IT development and JavaScript programming, and familiarity with CMDB (Configuration Management Database). The following are considered meritorious: - Experience working in large organizations (10,000+ employees). - Experience with assignments involving development, customization, and implementation in ServiceNow. - Completed training: - ServiceNow Administration Fundamental - Scripting in ServiceNow Fundamental - Knowledge of ITIL Foundation, at least v3.
