About this role
What Does CSN Do?
We have one of the world's most generous student support systems. Thanks to this opportunity, everyone in Sweden can study, regardless of background. Here, you can contribute your skills and knowledge to social utility and our important mission of making studies possible.
What Do We Offer?
As a CSN employee, you should be able to combine work with leisure and have a good life balance. We offer you flexible working hours, opportunities for remote work, and generous benefits.
CSN is constantly developing, and so are all of us who work here. To achieve the best results, we act and lead with trust as our approach. We are present from Kiruna in the north to Lund in the south, with our headquarters in Sundsvall. Would you like to become one of us and contribute to Team CSN?
Dreaming of a Meaningful Role?
The IT department is engaged in exciting development work, with several major reforms combining technological renewal, processes, and skills.
In our system development, we use - to name a few - distributed microservice architecture, container platforms, Java, JavaScript frameworks, MQ, and SpringBoot.
We work with both custom-developed and standard systems, and right now we are building a completely new system support for Transition Study Support.
Based on the organization's needs, you plan and manage your own day. You work in teams with high trust in each other's abilities, learn from one another, and solve challenges together. Skills development is important to us, and here you'll meet some IT colleagues who will share their development journey!
We are now seeking a system developer focused on CM and secure development. As a system developer with us, you will contribute to developing effective and sustainable IT solutions that support the agency's operations and social mission. We are looking for someone with good knowledge of system development in Java or equivalent, with a particular interest in writing applications securely.
Job Responsibilities
As a CM specialist with a focus on secure development, you will be part of a leading CM management group and play a central role in ensuring our IT solutions are developed securely. The role involves working both operationally with technical solutions and strategically with processes, governance, and improvements related to secure system development and Change Management.
You will develop and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated security tools and drive the implementation of new automated security testing solutions.
In collaboration with development and delivery teams, you will be responsible for integrating security early in the development chain ("shift-left") and managing security risks proactively and effectively.
The role also involves responsibility for monitoring, analyzing, and improving our security processes and tools, as well as contributing to governance within the Change Management area. You will function as a bridge between technology, security, and process - with the mission of making security a natural part of our development culture.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
• Education in system development with a security focus or equivalent competence or experiences/qualifications that the employer deems equivalent
• Several years of current experience in system development
• Current experience with secure system development
• Current experience designing and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines
• Current experience working with Change Management processes and governance
• Current experience working with shift-left and preventive security measures early in the development chain
• Current experience working with tools for automated workflows, integrated delivery, security testing, and monitoring
Furthermore, you have very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, and good English skills.
It is meritorious if you have:
• Experience with approaches based on DevSecOps principles
• Knowledge of container solutions, virtualized infrastructure, and orchestration
We are seeking someone who is self-driven and takes responsibility for advancing their work. You have strong analytical skills and enjoy solving complex problems. As a person, you are confident and professional, with the ability to adapt your approach to the situation. You communicate clearly and create consensus around goals and expectations. Through your holistic perspective, you prioritize the organization's best interests and contribute to collective results.
