Java Developer with Focus on E-Services and Digital Signing

Description We are Gothenburg! Now we are looking for you who want to help build modern, secure, and user-friendly e-services for those who live and work in Gothenburg. You will play a key role in developing digital solutions focusing on digital signing and complex service flows – simplifying and improving the everyday life of thousands of Gothenburg residents. Work Tasks You will become part of a dedicated team within Gothenburg City Intraservice where we together develop and manage e-services and support systems for the city's operations. The applications we develop are primarily Java-based web solutions, implemented as portlets (JSR-286) in WebSphere Portal (HCL Digital Experience), but we also focus on microservices in a container-based environment (OpenShift). You will work with both new development and further development of applications – focusing on digital signing (BankID, PKI), security, API integrations, and usability. You have the opportunity to influence architecture, technical choices, and working methods, and work closely with the business in an environment where quality, collaboration, and innovation are central. You will also become a central part of our management team for handling support and incidents. In everyday work, we use agile methods with test-driven development, code review, and CI/CD with Jenkins, as well as tools like Maven, Git, Nexus, and SonarQube. We place great value on participation and shared responsibility for delivery. Qualifications We are looking for someone with relevant education in IT/system development or equivalent experience, who has: - Several years of system development experience in Java and Spring/Spring Boot - Experience with API integrations using REST - Experience with relational databases, e.g., Oracle and PostgreSQL - Good proficiency with Continuous Delivery and supporting tools (e.g., Jenkins) - Experience with version control using Git - Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Meritorious experiences: - Microservices, container technology (Docker) and OpenShift - MongoDB and other NoSQL databases - Test-driven development - Frontend development in JavaScript/React - Portlets and work in WebSphere Portal (JSR-286) - Experience with .Net - Experience with agile methods (preferably as a scrum master) To thrive in the role, we see that you: Are self-driven, strategic, and have a holistic perspective.
