Do you want to contribute to everyone's right to read on their own terms? Now you have the chance to support our important democratic mission! We are looking for a software developer who wants to help develop the accessible reading of the future.
The Swedish Agency for Accessible Media's vision (MTM) is a society where all reading is accessible. We strive to ensure that everyone has access to literature, news, and community information based on their individual circumstances.
**About the Job**
As a software developer with us, you will be part of our development team and further develop MTM's media platform for the adaptation and dissemination of accessible reading, for example, through our digital library Legimus.
We work in small teams where agile methodologies, DevOps, and innovation are a natural part of everyday life. We actively use AI tools in our work, for development, testing, and analysis, and we welcome your interest in exploring and utilizing such tools in your work.
The role includes both new development and maintenance of MTM's digital solutions – everything from web and mobile applications to integrations and internal systems. With us, you will have excellent opportunities to influence technology choices, architecture, and product development.
You will belong to the Development and Management unit, where we currently have 18 colleagues, including 12 software developers. Our office is located in Malmö, and there is an option for some remote work.
**About You**
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to everyone's right to read on their own terms throughout their lives. You start from the reader's needs and consider the whole picture. You are collaborative, generous with your knowledge, unpretentious, and curious about new challenges. A positive and inclusive work environment is important to you. Given the changing world and users' needs, it is also essential that you welcome development, change, and a flexible approach.
Furthermore, you are open to using AI as a work tool. You create user-friendly, stable, and sustainable solutions and utilize modern tools like AI to support your work.
**We are looking for someone who has:**
- A university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 points) in computer science, software engineering, informatics, or equivalent, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience in software development, or a vocational education (or similar post-secondary education) in software development with at least 3 years of relevant experience in software development.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
**It is advantageous if you have experience in:**
- Frontend development in Vue.js or similar frameworks
- Accessibility-compliant interfaces (WCAG)
- C# or Java (preferably both)
- Mobile app development, preferably in Flutter or similar frameworks
- QA work with automated and manual testing
- Azure Cloud
- Agile methodologies
**You should also:**
- Have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work environment
- Work independently and take initiative
- Be able to plan your own work towards a common goal
**About the Employer**
MTM offers an attractive workplace that strives to be free from discrimination and provide equal opportunities for all. As an employee at MTM and in the state, you work on behalf of the citizens – an important and responsible commitment. As an employee at MTM, you are expected to be aware of and follow the laws and regulations applicable to the organization, act objectively and impartially, respect openness and freedom of expression, treat everyone equally and with respect, and combine service with efficiency. As a colleague at MTM, you are expected to be open to new ideas and welcome collaboration with others. We aim for a work environment where every employee has the opportunity to balance work and personal life.
