The IT Department of the County Administrative Boards operates nationally and serves all 21 County Administrative Boards in Sweden. We are looking for a Systems Technician with experience and interest in GIS, or a GIS Engineer with a strong technical drive and knowledge in system operation and DevOps. **Key Responsibilities** In this role, you will be responsible for the technical operation and management of our GIS applications and platforms. You will help ensure stable, secure, and efficient delivery of GIS services utilized by all 21 County Administrative Boards in Sweden. The position includes delivery and management of GIS building blocks used in the development of applications with geographic functionality. The IT service provides both web-based and client-based components, such as tools and code libraries, enabling the development of GIS applications in low-code and pro-code solutions. Examples of components include ArcGIS Experience Builder, reusable APIs, among others. In your role, you will: - Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment of GIS applications. - Be responsible for the technical operational maintenance and support of GIS applications. - Troubleshoot applications using browser tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools). - Review and quality-assure code prior to deployment. - Install and configure GIS software and integrate GIS solutions with other systems. - Work closely with colleagues in a cohesive team, where digital meetings are a natural part of everyday operations. The role is flexible and can evolve over time to meet the needs of the organization. **Qualifications** You have: - A higher education in GIS or equivalent work-related experience. - Experience in the operation of GIS platforms such as Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, GeoServer, QGIS, Safe FME Flow. - Experience with technical IT operations (applications in server environments). - Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for systems and applications. - Experience with database management in SQL Server, PostgreSQL/PostGIS. We would like you to have experience in: - Working in a DevOps environment with automation of build and delivery processes through CI/CD pipelines. - Programming in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell, Bash, C#. - Windows Server and Linux environments. - Operating Java applications. - Containerization and cloud platforms. - Infrastructure as code (e.g., YAML). **Personal Attributes** To succeed in this role, we see that you: - Have an analytical and solution-oriented approach. - Are communicative and can document and explain technical processes clearly. - Have an eye for detail and strive for high quality. - Are proactive, self-driven, and work independently. - Enjoy working in a team environment and willingly share your knowledge. - Advocate for DevSecOps principles and integrate security as a natural part of the development and delivery processes.
