About the Job
Your focus area in this role will be fundamental server administration for applications running on both Linux and Windows Server.
The work includes the following areas:
- Installation of new releases and updates for both in-house developed and third-party applications (with documentation support)
- Infrastructure configuration management in Puppet. Infrastructure as Code.
- Application monitoring with Checkmk
- Troubleshooting applications based on alarms, escalation, and incident follow-up as needed
Your role will largely involve:
- Collaboration with development teams when troubleshooting in production and test environments for in-house developed applications
- Supporting the organization with routine actions and troubleshooting in third-party applications
- Participating in regular meetings to stay updated on relevant events and infrastructure changes
You will be part of an independent team of 4-5 people. Being a team player is crucial in helping both your team members and other teams in the agency.
We collaborate with development teams responsible for the services where applications are used. You will also be part of a DevOps and application operations competence group, focusing on experience exchange, improvement work, and knowledge sharing.

Your Profile
We are seeking someone with experience troubleshooting complex systems (both Linux and Windows), who enjoys problem-solving and has excellent communication skills.
You are analytical, service-oriented, see the big picture in application operations - from development to testing and production - and take initiative for improvements and automation.
As a self-driven and responsible person, you thrive in a small team in a flexible, agile environment with varying tasks.
You ensure efficient workflows and drive continuous improvements.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience administering Linux via command line (Bash, preferably on RHEL variant) and experience with Windows Server
- Has good knowledge of Git (we use it integrated with Bitbucket, Jira, Puppet, and Red Hat Satellite)
- Can program in various scripting languages - primarily Bash and Powershell
- Has worked with basic SQL queries (language generally, no DBA knowledge required)
- Speaks and writes Swedish fluently and has good English skills
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
- Infrastructure automation (e.g., Puppet)
- Monitoring tools (e.g., CheckMK)
- Orchestration tools (e.g., Automic)
- Apache (HTTPD and Tomcat)
- ELK stack, primarily Kibana and ElasticSearch
- Certificates and PKI structures
- Python scripting language
