About this role
Are you driven by seeing your ideas come to life? Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world.
**Your Role**
As a Systems Safety Engineer at Saab Dynamics, you will work on the development of advanced defense products, primarily missiles.
Your role with us involves ensuring that our products meet the requirements and expectations set by our clients regarding user safety—systems safety. You will achieve this through active participation in the technical work throughout the development process, from identifying product safety risks, developing safety requirements, analyzing design, to verifying the final product, including compliance analysis.
The expectations for you as a Systems Safety Engineer with us are that you should have sufficient breadth to understand the entirety of our products, as well as enough depth to communicate how the system is intended to function, with those responsible for subsystems and components of the product.
You will navigate across many technical areas, and your points of contact within the company will be extensive. To assist you, we have structured processes in our operational system and method descriptions in our internal databases. You will often collaborate in project form with other engineers from various parts of the development unit within Saab Dynamics.
Our projects vary in size, which places significant demands on your flexibility as you may need to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
**Your Profile**
You are a graduate engineer or equivalent with several years of professional experience, preferably with experience or interest in systematic product safety work, focusing on one or more areas such as software, mechanics, and electronics. It is advantageous if you have experience working according to an established standard in the field, such as MIL-STD 882E or equivalent. Previous experience from the automotive industry is also considered a merit.
It is important that you have a holistic perspective, good collaboration skills, and the ability to independently drive your work forward. You communicate well in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written forms.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail citizenship requirements.
Please note that we are working with ongoing selection, and the position may be filled before the application deadline expires.
