We are the organization responsible for defining and developing the next generation of HMI (Human Machine Interface) that will be part of Volvo Group’s transport solutions. We are talking about instrument clusters, infotainment, driver user experience, camera-based systems, and much more. **Who are you?**
To strengthen our Human Vision Camera Systems team, we are recruiting two passionate system engineers. You will help design and integrate camera-based systems that provide a great and safe driving experience. The work requires a lot of cooperation with other teams inside and outside our organization. It also necessitates close collaboration with suppliers. You’ll work at the intersection of hardware, software, and system integration, ensuring that our human vision solutions deliver reliable performance in all driving conditions. It is important for us that you have a keen sense of teamwork and work well with others.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Define and manage both functional and non-functional requirements, and interfaces for camera-based human vision systems.
• Develop and maintain system architecture and integration involving cameras, ECUs, and vehicle networks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, HMI software, testing, safety, software platform, etc.) to ensure system functionality and performance.
• Support verification and validation activities, including test planning, issue analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Volvo system engineering standards, functional safety (ISO 26262), cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434), and legal demands such as R158 and R46.
• Act as a technical bridge between suppliers, internal teams, and project stakeholders.
**Qualifications**
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in automotive system engineering, preferably with camera-based or perception systems.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, sensors, and vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Familiarity with system design and requirements management tools (e.g., SystemWeaver, Polarion, DOORS).
• Strong analytical mindset and structured approach to problem-solving.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
