About this role

E.ON in Sweden is part of the international energy group E.ON SE, headquartered in Essen, Germany. Around 70,000 people work within the group across 17 countries. In Sweden, approximately 2,100 dedicated employees work throughout the country. Our Nordic headquarters is located in Malmö. In Sweden, we deliver electricity, heat, and smart energy solutions to over one million households and businesses. E.ON's role is to take responsibility and drive development forward, enabling more people to transition. Welcome to E.ON – and become part of the energy transformation. In collaboration with our customers and partners, we ensure that electricity and heat are produced, used, and recycled more intelligently. If you have passion and believe in the power of working together, E.ON is the place for you. About Us Would you like to help shape the future energy system while contributing to a more sustainable society? In our System Planning group, you'll have the opportunity to delve into E.ON's power grid and be part of the ongoing energy transition. Here, technical learning combines with societal benefit, allowing you to develop future power networks through data, technology, and long-term thinking. Our System Planning group currently consists of nine colleagues in Malmö, and we now want to welcome more people who want to contribute their expertise and grow with us! Your Role As a system planner, you'll work on analyzing and planning operations in our regional grid, a complex electrical system where new energy sources like solar and wind place high demands on both stability and flexibility. Our focus areas include: • Increased network utilization with optimized availability in existing networks • Stability in our electrical system, both current and future • System stability during disrupted operations Your specific role will depend on your background/competence in combination with the group's needs. You might contribute technical analyses ensuring network functionality during planned interruptions or special connection requirements, collaborating closely with operational organizations to create long-term solutions. The role could also involve participating in managing voltage quality and reactive power, or validating connections from new producers linked to our network. You'll be at the intersection of technology, climate, and future energy flows, helping shape how our electrical system functions both today and long-term. About the Candidate We Seek We believe you have an electrical engineering education at minimum college level, though other technical educations like technical physics can also provide a good foundation. Previous experience in system planning, network planning, or operations is valuable, and knowledge of PSS/E or DP Power is an advantage. Experience in power system analysis or energy calculations is meritorious. As a person, you enjoy technical challenges, creative work, and developing new solutions for our regional network together with colleagues. You can both challenge and inspire others while being curious about developing your own knowledge. You work without ego and enjoy collaborating with others. Work Environment You'll become part of our Malmö team of nine engaged system planners. We work closely together, combining technical expertise with a warm, helpful culture where we share knowledge and support each other. Your direct manager, Jenny Jeppsson, is attentive and committed to both results and well-being, creating good conditions for you to grow, take responsibility, and contribute to our development. At E.ON, we actively work on inclusion - it's crucial for driving the energy transition forward. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe work environment with meaningful tasks and excellent development opportunities. We work towards a more sustainable energy society, but it's equally important that our employees have conditions to maintain personal sustainability. We therefore offer excellent benefits to ensure your well-being and work-life balance, including working hours shorter than industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more! Since we work with critical societal infrastructure, this position is security-classified, which means a security screening will be conducted before employment. Warmly welcome to apply and join us on the path towards a sustainable society! Application deadline is November 17th.
