Your mission
As a system integrator in transmission and networking, you will belong to the technology department, which is responsible for providing FRA with the technical systems needed for its operations. The department develops, manages, and implements new technical systems and handles the operation and maintenance of existing systems.
In the role of system integrator, you will work in a complex and varied IT environment with great opportunities to deepen your knowledge in technology and systems while enjoying freedom with responsibility. You will become part of a team with diverse expertise, where together you will have significant influence over how the common task is to be solved. The role involves many points of contact both within the agency and with external actors. Your main areas of responsibility will include:
- Project planning, installation, configuration, and operation of DWDM and networking equipment
- Documentation of systems
- Requirements specification and procurement basis for leased connections

We are looking for someone who has:
- Post-secondary education in telecommunications or equivalent competence acquired through work experience
- At least three years of experience working in a relevant branch of the IT sector, for example, with a telecommunications operator or its subcontractors
- Good knowledge of fiber transmission/DMDW systems and practical experience in planning, operation, and troubleshooting such systems
- Good knowledge of networks (IP, routing, switching)
- Knowledge of Linux
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, and the ability to read technical documentation in English without difficulty
- A valid driver's license (B)
We consider it advantageous if you have:
- Previous work experience in intelligence services
- Knowledge of satellite communication

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security classification. A prerequisite for employment is a successful security clearance with a background check. The security clearance will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
