Do you want to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to developing advanced defense systems? Saab Training is now seeking a Systems Engineer for their growing team in Huskvarna. Here, you'll be part of an innovative and curious team exploring new technologies, developing concept studies, and testing future system solutions in practice. About the Role as Junior Systems Engineer As a Systems Engineer at Saab Training, you'll work on everything from concept studies and requirements specification to practical testing and technology evaluations. The team is responsible for identifying and evaluating new technologies, such as radio, laser, and sensors, and developing proposals for how new technologies can be implemented in Saab's systems. The work is both theoretical and practical: one day you might simulate system behaviors in Matlab or Python, and the next day be out on a test range measuring laser performance in different weather conditions. You'll become an important part of a cross-functional team working with multiple technical disciplines, where ideas are quickly transformed into tests, prototypes, and improvements. Example Tasks: • Perform technology studies and system analyses • Develop and specify system concepts • Conduct simulations in Matlab or Python • Perform practical measurements and field tests • Analyze data and document results • Communicate results with adjacent functions The Role Suits You Who Like having many contact points, switching between computer and workshop, and enjoy learning new things. About You You are a curious and driven engineer who thrives working broadly and practically. You easily adapt to new technology areas and enjoy combining analysis with problem-solving. To succeed in the role, we see that you have: • Master's degree in engineering, preferably in technical physics, electronics, or equivalent • Knowledge of Matlab and/or Python and C • B driver's license • Fluent in Swedish and English • Ability to pass a security clearance Meritorious • Experience with system work, sensors, or radio systems It is also meritorious if you have experience from the defense industry or military background, or an interest in defense systems and their applications.
