About the Department
The Operations Management Office (DSK) is part of the Naval Staff and a division within the Navy's Material Office. DSK designs and procures technical maintenance, both preventive and corrective, for the Swedish Armed Forces' naval equipment. We work closely with industry. The unit consists of approximately 90 employees distributed across four locations. This position is based in Karlskrona.
Primary Work Tasks
• Prepare preventive and corrective maintenance needs, in dialogue with vessel and boat users, and convert them into orders for suppliers.
• Control and quality assure (through documentation review, inspections, etc.) completed maintenance after work at the supplier.
• Provide documentation for maintenance budget and conduct financial follow-up of placed orders.
• Monitor equipment status (including spare parts, documentation, maintenance backlog, material controls, and performance verification) and propose actions.
• Participate in and provide technical system support for analysis work, studies, development, and acquisition of new and modified material systems with associated subsystems and documentation.
• Engage in dialogue regarding orders/overhauls with suppliers and users.
• Represent customer within own technical area to other technical parties in the Swedish Armed Forces, Defense Materiel Administration, and industry.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
• Approved high school education
• Post-secondary education with technical orientation or other relevant competence assessed by the employer as equivalent
• Experience with vessel systems, system work, requirements management, and their operation and maintenance
• Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, with good knowledge of technical English in the current technical area
• Driver's license B
• Good computer skills

MERITING
• Engineering degree or other relevant competence assessed by the employer as equivalent
• Knowledge of composite, steel, and carpentry work
• Experience from shipyard industry
• Experience with technical system work and maintenance work in ship technology area on Navy vessels and boats
• Experience handling technical information in both paper and digital formats and experience using operational follow-up systems
• Recent service aboard Swedish naval vessels
