System Engineer with a focus on Verification and Validation

We collaborate with colleagues around the world who share our vision – to make the world a safer place. **Your Future Challenge** As a Systems Engineer at Saab Dynamics and Missile Systems, you will work on the development of advanced defense products, with a particular focus on missile systems. Your role involves ensuring that our products meet the requirements and expectations set by our customers regarding their capabilities. You will achieve this by leading the technical work throughout the product lifecycle – from initial studies to development and maintenance. The work includes requirements analysis, design, and verification of the final product. We expect you, as a Systems Engineer, to have a broad understanding of the overall context of our products, as well as sufficient depth of knowledge to explain and communicate how the systems are intended to function, in collaboration with those responsible for subsystems and components. In this role, the focus will be on the verification and validation of our new systems, where a holistic perspective is crucial. You will work with requirements breakdown, understanding of requirements, and planning verification and validation to ensure that the systems meet customer needs and expectations. This includes testing, simulations, analyses, summarizing results, and reporting. You will work across multiple technical areas, and your points of contact within the company will be numerous. To support your work, there are well-structured processes in our operational system as well as method descriptions in our internal databases. You will collaborate in project form with engineers from various parts of the development unit within Saab Dynamics, other Saab departments, and international partners. Since our projects vary in size, great demands will be placed on your flexibility, as you may work on several projects simultaneously. **Your Profile** You are a graduate engineer or equivalent with several years of experience, preferably from systems work in areas such as mechanics, electronics, software, or AI/ML. Experience in verification and validation is advantageous. You have experience in designing and structuring complex systems to create a solid system architecture. You also have the ability to create models and simulate systems to analyze performance and identify potential issues. You have worked with ISO 15288, an international standard for Systems Engineering Lifecycle Process, and have experience in requirements management at various levels, enabling you to systematize systems and/or system of systems. Knowledge of model-based methodology is beneficial. We value a holistic perspective and believe that you have sufficient experience to assess when it is time to take the next step in development. You should have good collaboration skills and be able to drive your work forward independently. You communicate well in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written forms.
