ABOUT THE POSITION: We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer in automation and software development for an assignment within the defense industry. The role involves working with specification, design, development, documentation, and testing of automation software in complex technical systems. The environment is technically deep, security-critical, and structured. A strong emphasis is placed on quality, traceability, and thorough documentation. You will work closely with other engineers and technical specialists to ensure that the systems function correctly in all conceivable situations. This is a role for someone who wants to develop within advanced automation, technology, and software development, and who thrives in a work environment where precision, order, and a holistic understanding are crucial.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Understand and analyze the functionality of systems under development
• Design, develop, and test automation software (primarily PLC/structured text, some Java/Python/C)
• Write and maintain design and test documentation
• Participate in reviews of software and documentation
• Work with integration and verification of systems
• Assist with commissioning and on-site testing
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
• Holds a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or mechatronics
• Has automation experience from summer jobs/part-time work or full-time employment
• Possesses basic knowledge of PLC and automation systems
• Can communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
It is not necessary, but advantageous if you have:
• Completed military service or other military training
