About the position Meteorological systems are essential for the success of the aviation industry! As a Meteorology Service Technician, you will be an important link in maintaining the technical safety of air travel and air traffic by working with meteorological systems, which include weather sensors and other hardware. In your role, you will have close contact with our customers and their representatives. Travel may be required. Your main responsibilities Your tasks will include, among others: • Performing preventive maintenance • Repairs and troubleshooting • Preparing relevant documentation • Establishing new equipment at customer sites • Project management support We operate under aviation regulations, and the work is carried out according to quality and environmental guidelines. Many of the systems at the airport are unique, and you will receive extensive training on these. In the future, you will also be involved in training colleagues. You have a strong sense of high service levels and quality, and are accustomed to working in customer environments. You feel a strong commitment and drive in your work. Who are you? We prefer that you have a three-year technical high school education in data or electronics, along with a few years of work experience in a similar field. Alternatively, you have a university degree focused on electronics or mechanics. You enjoy working independently as well as in a team and have good computer skills. You are proficient in both spoken and written Swedish and English. The position requires Swedish citizenship, a successful security clearance, and a B driver's license. You have a strong interest in technology and a solution-oriented mindset, and have previously worked with: - Low voltage electronics - Installation of technical systems - Modem communication Since you will be working with systems from different generations of technology, an understanding of older technology is advantageous. It is also beneficial if you have experience or education in: - Maintenance of airport and aviation systems - Regulations from ICAO, WMO, and the Swedish Transport Agency - Meteorology and related systems and system architecture - Computer networks - Basic programming or configuration - Electrical qualifications About the company AVISEQ operates within critical communication.
