The Swedish Fortifications Agency is seeking a development engineer or specialist with broad system expertise. Your daily work – contribute to strengthening Sweden's total defense within a technology and development unit The Swedish Fortifications Agency is a government agency with critical operations that is experiencing strong growth. One of our main missions is to develop fortification expertise for total defense. The Technology and Development Unit for Fortification and Properties (TUFF) is tasked with developing fortification expertise and advancing protection and facility technology for total defense. The unit currently consists of four groups: Program, Technical Supply, Product Development, and Facility and Property, with a total of approximately 60 employees in various specialist roles and continues to grow. We are now looking for a development engineer or specialist to join the Facility and Property group. This group is responsible for requirements specification, analysis, and verification of solutions for protection and supply at both system and component levels. The Facility and Property group is also responsible for developing approved prototype buildings. In the role of development engineer/specialist in Systems Engineering, the following tasks are included: • Conducting needs analysis for facilities and properties in collaboration with our clients. • Working with project managers and specialists to develop requirements specifications for protection and supply systems and managing the requirements down to subsystem and component level. • Supporting the work of verifying and validating newly developed systems and subsystems based on the established requirements specification. Qualifications We are looking for candidates who have a civil engineering degree with a relevant focus or other university or college education deemed suitable by the employer. You have one or more years of work experience as a requirements engineer or equivalent and are driven in your work approach with a genuine interest in technology and product development. Proficiency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written, is required for this role. It is also a requirement that you are a Swedish citizen, a proficient user of the Office suite, and possess good administrative skills. A valid driver's license, class B, is also required. Knowledge of systems engineering (according to ISO/IEC 15288) and experience in product development are advantageous. Experience from the defense sector is also a merit.
