About this role
Are you driven by seeing your ideas become reality? Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world.
Your Role
As a systems engineer with us, you will have a key role in developing advanced self-protection and reconnaissance systems, where you are responsible for requirement breakdown, architectural issues, and technical interfaces. You will work with system integration on vehicles and ensure that our solutions work seamlessly together with vehicle platforms' technical systems and communication interfaces. The position involves working with communication systems and networks in close collaboration with our customers.
You are involved in the entire lifecycle - from concept and development to operation and decommissioning of systems and subsystems. Work takes place in cross-functional teams alongside specialists, project managers, and colleagues in verification, hardware, and software. It is a role with many touchpoints, which provides a flexible and stimulating work environment.
To succeed in the role, a strong system understanding and ability to think holistically are required. You need to be able to analyze how technical and organizational parts affect each other over time and contribute to creating solutions that work in complex contexts. Your task is not just to solve technical problems, but also to help shape structures, processes, and communication that facilitate management of system complexity over time. You are expected to be proactive in identifying connections and dependencies, and integrating different parts into a well-functioning whole.
With us, you get the opportunity to influence, collaborate, and grow in a role where holistic perspective, communication, and technical skill are crucial for driving development forward.
The role includes, among other things:
* Developing new communication systems and further developing and maintaining existing solutions
* Designing system architecture and establishing high-level requirements
* Working with requirements analysis - interpreting, breaking down, and ensuring requirements in collaboration with project management, customers, and other stakeholders
* Following systems through the entire development phase, including integration and verification
* Being a technical support for software developers and acting as a sounding board on issues related to structure and delivery flows
* Participating in deployment and providing support on-site with customers
* Working with integration between different systems and ensuring functioning holistic solutions
The position is located in Arboga.
