About the Position
We are seeking a systems engineer who wants to work on the development and integration of advanced systems with one of our partners in the defense and aerospace industry. The role aims to ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of the electronic systems in aircraft platforms. You will contribute to shaping the technology of the future for both military and civilian applications, and you will have a long-term, technically advanced, and meaningful workplace. The work offers significant responsibility, diverse project environments, and close collaboration with multiple disciplines.
The work is project-based, involving both new development and further development, as well as more customer-specific projects. The role entails technical leadership responsibilities where you drive and execute defined parts of the projects. As a systems engineer, you will work cross-functionally and be responsible for ensuring that the system solutions maintain high technical quality throughout the development chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and analyze system requirements
- Define system architecture and system design
- Lead and plan system integration
- Define and monitor verification and validation strategies
- Coordinate verification activities between hardware, software, and systems
- Follow up on requirement coverage, test results, and technical deliveries
- Drive and execute work packages in development projects and technical studies
You will act as a technical specialist and contribute to developing product cores that can later be customized for clients. The work may also involve participation in international development initiatives alongside other companies in the aerospace and defense sector.
Your Qualifications:
- 5–15 years of experience as a systems engineer
- Master's degree or bachelor's degree in hardware, electronics, or software
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Experience in an industry requiring safety-critical thinking (e.g., nuclear power, medical technology, or rail) is considered an advantage for the role. Familiarity with aviation standards (ARP-4754, DO-178C, DO-254) or experience with RTOS such as Linux, VxWorks, or Arinc653 is also beneficial. Additionally, experience in the design and development of avionics systems and integration into aircraft platforms is valuable.
