System Administrator for X-trafik

X-trafik is an operation within Region Gävleborg and serves as the public transport authority in Gävleborg County. Our mission is to develop and coordinate public transport for as many people as possible for a sustainable future. The X-trafik department consists of five units that organize both regional public transport and special public transport in the county. The systems unit at X-trafik comprises six individuals responsible for the management and development of our public transport-specific system support. We are now looking for an additional system administrator to join our team. Welcome to us! **JOB DESCRIPTION** The systems unit at X-trafik is responsible for the management and development of X-trafik's system support for traffic planning, ticket management and sales, traffic information, and passenger information. We act as both orderers and recipients of new system functionalities and plan and execute the deployment of software and hardware. We are responsible for operations and second-line support towards transport companies and our colleagues. To accomplish the tasks, dialogue and coordination are required both internally and with external parties such as transport companies and suppliers. We continuously work to identify areas for development to change our working methods and systems and to find new solutions. We are currently in an exciting phase with extensive development on the systems side within public transport. This means we will be developing both our system support and our operations in the coming years. We are a relatively small team, which means you need to be self-sufficient and structured. You have the ability to take responsibility for completing your tasks. No two days are alike in our mission, and it requires you to be flexible and able to adapt to changes without losing focus on the task at hand. Our system solutions are complex, which means that troubleshooting, for example, requires you to be analytical and persistent. In the role of system administrator, you should have: - Post-secondary education in systems/computer technology or equivalent work experience that has provided you with comparable skills - Good IT skills and experience working with complex and integrated systems - Proficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written - A valid driver's license (B category).
