About the Workplace Solna City is one of Sweden's most expansive and dynamic municipalities. Digitalization and IT are integral across the city, driving and supporting digitalization where operations exist - from schools and care services to property and street management. As a system administrator, you'll be part of the Digitalization and IT department with 25 friendly colleagues, working closely with care and social service departments on their development needs and management issues. We're centrally located in Solna Center when not in the field. Together with our outsourcing partners, we've established a flexible and stable IT foundation for the city's continued digitalization. As a system administrator, you'll primarily work with care and social service departments, focusing on their operations and management objects. You'll be responsible for managing contracts and relationships with application suppliers, coordinating upgrades and changes with the city's IT operations partners, and capturing departmental needs and plans for application support changes. Working with system owners and supported by system specialists, you'll develop system management plans and ensure their implementation. You'll work closely with the city's other system administrators, following Solna's models and processes for system management and IT operations. The primary management objects are within care and social service departments. General system management competence is important, as new systems and objects may be added or system administrators may rotate, which strengthens collaboration and knowledge sharing. Who Are We Looking For? You have: - A college degree in IT or comparable education/experience - Worked as a system administrator or similar for at least a couple of years and enjoy working at the intersection of IT and operations - Strong documentation skills - Excellent Swedish communication skills, both spoken and written It's advantageous if you have: - Experience with social service law - Worked with one or more system management models and are familiar with ITIL - Experience managing systems for municipal operations in care and social service departments - Experience conducting preliminary studies To thrive in this role, you need to be good at driving and leading through others.
