We are looking for an experienced System Architect with deep expertise in core banking. In this key role, you will drive the architecture of the future, support the business with technical expertise, and collaborate closely with R&D to develop innovative banking solutions.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a System Architect within Core Banking, you will play a central role in the development of future banking solutions. You will be responsible for shaping the architecture, translating business needs into technical decisions, and ensuring that the platform meets high demands for functionality, security, and scalability. This is an opportunity for you to combine deep specialist knowledge with strategic work in an innovative and international environment. This is a consulting assignment starting on 2026-01-01 (indicative start date) and running until 2026-06-30.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role involves developing and implementing architectural solutions for the banking sector, as well as acting as a technical expert and advisor in close collaboration with business and product development.
* Develop and drive future architecture for Core Banking.
* Provide deep expertise in Core Banking functions such as accounts, payments, and customer relations.
* Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
* Support R&D and Product Management in technical decisions and improvements.
* Communicate complex technology clearly and support business development.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- Has deep knowledge and experience in Core Banking and Digital Banking architecture as well as banking processes.
- Has previously worked with banking solutions and can navigate complex systems and regulations (SEPA, SWIFT, RTP, KYC/AML).
- Is skilled at translating business needs into technical solutions and can guide development teams in architectural matters.
- Is self-driven, engaged, and reliable, with the ability to inspire and lead teams.
- Has excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, and can make technically complex topics understandable for non-technical decision-makers.
It is a merit if you have
- Knowledge of digital payment solutions and fintech integrations.
- Experience in the banking or finance sector.
- Previous participation in strategic architecture projects or system migrations.
- Certifications in architecture, such as TOGAF or similar.
- Experience in collaboration between R&D and business development.
