About this opportunity
The Radio Unit Software Tech Management team keeps the entire system solution together for all software running on the radio. We drive the radio software architecture, conduct technical area studies, and contribute to Solution teams and early phases of product and feature definition.
We aim to own the high-level architecture for all software running inside the Radio Unit. Carrier Handling has been a weak area, and we want to strengthen our competence to be able to integrate this into the full radio unit software architecture.
You will join a highly skilled team with extensive experience in mobile systems, offering many opportunities for system learning. The radio product is significantly expanding its feature set with open fronthaul and new service platforms. There will be numerous opportunities for learning and growth in your area of choice.
What you will do
* Coordinate RU Carrier Handling from signal processing in LowPHY, carrier RF generation in RFF to carrier directivity in ANF.
* Contribute to Radio Product development projects in Opportunity and System phases.
* Work with architecture descriptions and updates.
* Conduct Technical Area studies.
* Drive selected activities.
* Represent RU Software in solution teams.
* Collaborate with other units to find solutions that benefit the radio.
The skills you bring
* +5 years of experience developing software for Radio Access Network or embedded software for radio products in mobile communication. Preferably specifically in the Carrier Handling/CAT/RCC area.
* Knowledge of RAN architecture and working methodologies.
* High competence in RU Carrier Handling area from LowPHY to Antenna.
