Focused on safety and sustainability, Sydvatten produces drinking water for almost one million Skåne residents. Sydvatten is one of Sweden's largest drinking water producers. We own and operate the Bolmen Tunnel, two waterworks (Ringsjö and Vomb), and the main distribution pipeline system for drinking water. Drinking water production is a vital public utility, and through collaboration, the 17 owner municipalities can guarantee their residents, schools, hospitals, and businesses a secure and cost-effective water supply for the future.
We are now seeking a Project Manager for Physical Security and Safety for our Technical Department, who will play a crucial role in making our facilities safer and thus making our drinking water production more robust and resilient. Primary Work Tasks and Qualifications
Sydvatten is facing extensive expansions and renovations of our drinking water production and distribution facilities. With changing legislation and increasing threat scenarios, we see a significant need for specialized expertise in building protection and security for new facilities. We also need to continue improving protection for our existing facilities such as waterworks, valve chambers, pump stations, pipelines, etc. To accomplish this, we need a Technical Project Manager who will play a central role in ensuring our facilities have the best possible protection and security.
You will independently be responsible for and drive projects related to perimeter protection, fencing, locks/alarms, access systems, and fire protection. Work can be conducted through separate projects in existing facilities or as sub-projects during new construction or renovation. The position involves working closely with Sydvatten's production organization, security department, and colleagues within the department. You will also be responsible for relationships with consultants, contractors, and other external parties.
Your background may include education as a Security, Electrical, or Building Engineer combined with experience working with physical protections, locks/alarms, fire protection, etc., as a client or contractor. Experience working in project form and driving independent projects is meritorious. The same applies to knowledge of contract law and the Security Protection Act. In this role, we seek someone who can work independently and handle complex issues and competing interests. The role also involves contact with many different parties, so oral and written communication skills are important. During recruitment, Sydvatten will consider personal qualities such as drive, commitment, and loyalty.
Technical Department at Sydvatten
Sydvatten's Technical Department is responsible for major investment projects at our production and distribution facilities and is divided into an Investigation and a Project Group. The advertised position belongs to the Project Group, which consists of eleven people and carries out various investment projects in areas such as construction, facilities, process, or electrical/automation. You will join an open organization with a positive work climate that works very closely with other operations within Sydvatten. There will be many contact points within the company, and you will become part of a competent team with strong commitment.
The position is located at the main office in Hyllie, Malmö. Work at our waterworks and other facilities will also occur.
B driver's license is required.

Permanent employment. The position is placed in a security class. Security screening with register check will be conducted before employment.
