Valmet is seeking a Welding Coordinator for their Production and Service Workshop in Gothenburg/Torslanda. They specialize in repair, service/maintenance, and upgrading of recovery boilers, other types of water tube boilers, as well as pressure vessels and pipe installations. Their key manufacturing processes include both manual and machine welding and tube bending.
Job Responsibilities
As a Welding Coordinator, you will work in a team with their managers, QC personnel, and non-destructive testing specialists to ensure that workshop work complies with applicable standards, directives, and is quality assured. You will be responsible for welding plans, WPSs, and welder qualifications meeting current requirements. You will also be proactive in identifying improvements and new requirements regarding WPQR and product standards. The position includes driving continuous improvement work related to welding processes, methods, and approaches. This includes troubleshooting processes and evaluating new equipment.
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
• Technical post-secondary education
• Minimum IWS diploma
• Fluent Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
• Good knowledge of the Office suite
