Do you want to work in a developing and stimulating environment and be part of a team that focuses on key technologies and welding?
Then look no further! We are currently seeking welding engineers or welding specialists for specific assignments within the aerospace and defense industry. You will work on a wide range of tasks, from daily production support to the development of new products and technologies. You will help ensure that the customer establishes capable manufacturing processes regarding welding and that the products are delivered with world-class quality.
The company is currently facing exciting challenges with an accelerating additive manufacturing journey and a growing share of welded products. You will belong to a fantastic group of specialists and work on exciting projects while supporting daily production.
Responsibilities
Your tasks will include, among others:
• Developing, improving, and qualifying processes by working on the establishment of welding parameters
• Automating welding processes and fixture development
• Providing specialist knowledge in various types of development projects
• Monitoring and analyzing process capability
• Reviewing production drawing documentation
• Participating in investments and implementation of new technologies
• Assessing and reviewing the manufacturability of products
• Assisting in the development of training materials and training, instructing, and certifying welding operators
• Introducing new methods, equipment, instructions, and procedures in welding
• Continuously improving welding processes and existing working methods
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a technical college education, vocational training in production technology, or other relevant education/experience. IWE, IWT, or IWS training is an advantage. Since we operate in a global environment, you need to have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, in addition to Swedish.
It is advantageous if you have any of the following to succeed in the role:
• Relevant experience in welding
• Analytical skills and being a good problem solver
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build good relationships
• Driven and enjoy collaborating with others
• Ability to work flexibly and quality-focused to find technical and sustainable high-quality solutions
• Experience or knowledge of welding methods such as LBW, GTAW, EBW, PAW, and RW
• Experience and knowledge of Additive Manufacturing
• Experience in production technology work
• Knowledge of robotics and automation
• Knowledge of materials in the aerospace industry such as titanium and superalloys
