Job Responsibilities We are now seeking an experienced welder for our client in Västerås! Our client works on projects involving both serial production and single-piece welding constructions in various forms and materials. Constructions are manufactured for global companies across several industries, including HVAC, electrical power, automotive, and train industries. At this workplace, there is a modern welding workshop certified according to EN-ISO 3834 and EN-ISO 15085. You will work from the workshop located in Finnslätten, Västerås. Together with the welding manager and project leader, you will receive work assignments and weld desired constructions according to drawings in materials such as black steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Additional tasks may also arise. The consultant assignment begins with a 6-month fixed-term employment with good opportunities for a permanent position. The start date will be by agreement, and before the assignment begins, a work test will be conducted where you can demonstrate your ability to weld according to drawings and symbols. Your Profile We are seeking someone with an eye for detail who values quality over quantity. You have extensive experience welding various materials and feel confident in your work. Requirements: - Approved welding technology education from high school, adult education, or labor market training - Knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols - Experience with welding methods MIG/MAG and TIG - Forklift license A+B - Overhead crane license - Hot work certification - Certificates according to 9606-1 / 9606-2 If you lack certificates, you should be able to pass welding tests with approved results in the following: Butt weld T=1.5mm. Butt weld T=6.0mm and complementary fillet weld T=6.0mm single string. In black and stainless steel materials using welding methods 141 and 135.
