Your Responsibilities
Whether you are at the beginning of your IT career or have several years of experience, you are welcome to grow and develop with us. As a support technician, you will be the helpful specialist that staff and students turn to when technology malfunctions. You are an expert in troubleshooting and feel comfortable with both hardware and software. You are the person with a smile on your face even when technology challenges you – because you know that every problem has a solution!
Your main tasks include staffing and developing our IT support, working daily with user support and IT assistance. You will:
• Staff the service desk and receive, solve, prioritize, and drive support cases
• Independently troubleshoot and find solutions to technical problems related to IT
• Troubleshoot hardware and various organization-specific applications
• Take responsibility for developing support operations by proposing and implementing improvements
• Document, update/maintain, and publish support documentation
Your Qualifications
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. We are looking for someone curious and technology-interested with a strong desire to develop within their profession. You need to be structured and meticulous, complete what you start, and meet deadlines. You must be able to work independently while also being collaborative and able to work well in a team. A service-oriented approach and good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to analyze and find solutions to technical problems.
You need a college education in the field or equivalent education/work experience that the employer deems equivalent. Additionally, you need good knowledge of computers, peripherals, operating systems, and networks. Good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, are also required.
Meriting Factors:
• Experience of actively contributing to developing and improving a support operation or similar IT-related function
• Experience and knowledge of Microsoft 365 support
Employment
Permanent full-time position. A six-month probationary period may be applied. Start date as soon as possible. Location: Borås.
