Assignment Description:
The client is seeking a Support Technician for the delivery area/system area of Information and Support Services (IST). The delivery area (IST) is of critical operational and technical nature, with numerous internal and external integrations, primarily used to supply information to both internal operational systems as well as those of other authorities/companies.
The service components of the area are consumed by various operational systems, with many integrations and system dependencies, and essentially no user interfaces, making it crucial to understand the underlying technology and how everything is technically interconnected, for both frontend and backend. The work is conducted according to agile methodologies, so it is important that you are comfortable with agile working methods.
The role of Support Technician involves being the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues. The Support Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems within IST’s services and integrations. The role also includes documenting and escalating more complex issues to the development team, as well as contributing to the maintenance and improvement of the IT infrastructure.
As a Support Technician, you will be responsible for:
• Providing quick and effective technical support to the teams responsible for operational systems
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to IST’s services and integrations
• Documenting problems, actions, and solutions in Confluence/Jira
• Escalating complex issues to other technical teams when necessary and following up to ensure resolution
• Performing routine maintenance and upgrades of services and third-party products
• Collaborating with development teams and external suppliers to resolve issues and implement new technical solutions
• Participating in planning and development to stay updated on the evolution of IST’s services and changes
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the support process by identifying common issues and suggesting preventive measures
Mandatory Requirements:
• At least 5 years of work experience with Linux (Rhel)
• At least 5 years of work experience with SQL (Oracle)
• At least 3 years of work experience with Shell scripting
• At least 3 years of experience with WebLogic Server (WLS) or similar Java server
• At least 1 year of work experience in a coordinating position
• Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
