About the Position
In this role, you will belong to the quality department focusing on supplier quality management (SQM), where the emphasis is on developing, monitoring, and ensuring quality in the supply chain. You will have the opportunity to work closely with both national and international suppliers and have significant opportunities to influence and improve methods and processes. The quality department is characterized by extensive knowledge and high engagement.
The position is located within the quality department and reports to the Quality Manager – Operations. The role involves travel to suppliers, primarily within Europe.
Job Description
As Supplier Quality Manager (SQM), you will have overall responsibility for the long-term development and assurance of quality in the supply chain. The position is strategic and involves proactively driving quality work in collaboration with suppliers and internally within the organization.
You will be a key person taking a leading role in quality dialogues with the management teams of suppliers and your own organization. By building trusting relationships, identifying areas for improvement, and integrating quality at all levels, you will contribute to creating a strong and sustainable supplier base.
A significant part of your daily work will involve:
- Proactively and strategically working on quality strategies with suppliers.
- Engaging in qualified dialogues on quality issues at the management level, both with Swedish and international suppliers.
- Developing suppliers by initiating and following up on strategic improvement programs.
- Monitoring supplier performance and identifying risks or recurring issues at an early stage.
- Leading major investigations related to purchased goods or services.
- Conducting strategic supplier assessments and audits, ensuring that results lead to improvements.
- Compiling, analyzing, and reporting quality results to management and other stakeholders.
- Serving as a resource and advisor on supplier quality, both internally and externally.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who wants to take a strategic role in supplier quality and contribute to the development of our supplier base. You may have prior experience in a similar role, but we also welcome candidates from production, purchasing, logistics, or other fields with a strong interest in growing within quality.
We believe you have:
- A university degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience in quality, production, or supplier development.
- Experience in quality work and a desire to develop your skills in quality tools and improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
