Do you want to play a key role in securing production's need for materials with the right quality and strengthening collaboration both internally and with our suppliers? Saab Dynamics is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Supplier Quality Manager (SQM) who is passionate about quality, technology, and innovation, and who enjoys challenges.
**Your Role**
As the Supplier Quality Manager, you will be a key player in our initiative to establish production abroad, with a particular focus on India. Here, you will have the opportunity to build and develop our supplier base in the region, which is crucial for our continued success during a time of strong growth and exciting opportunities.
You will be responsible for implementing and ensuring that our purchasing strategy, policies, and procedures are followed and further developed in line with our high standards and requirements. Your skills and experience in supplier development in the field will be central to driving and developing the work locally.
As the role is focused on India, it will involve periodic travel, where you will visit new and existing suppliers for several weeks, 3-4 times a year. During these visits, you will work closely with both new and established suppliers to ensure that quality requirements are met and to build strong and long-lasting relationships. Supplier audits and evaluations are a central part of the job, where you will ensure that product quality and delivery capability meet our high expectations.
At the same time, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in purchasing, development, and production to resolve quality issues and continuously improve our processes. **Your Profile**
We are looking for someone with solid experience in supplier quality and quality systems, as well as experience in international work. You are self-driven, analytical, and solution-oriented, with a genuine passion for quality work and technology. Your ability to build relationships and collaborate with both internal colleagues and external partners, as well as manage complex project environments, is essential for success in this role.
You will have significant ownership of your tasks and good opportunities to develop within the role. Because the work involves extensive collaboration with both local and international suppliers, as well as colleagues from different departments, very good language skills in both Swedish and English are required to ensure clear and effective communication, thereby maintaining high quality and efficiency in processes.
For this role, knowledge of relevant standards, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, is required. Skills in measurement technology, MSA, and the use of quality tools are also necessary. Knowledge and experience in PPAP is a significant advantage, and if you also have a Six Sigma Black Belt certification, this is meritorious.
We value experience from university or higher education studies and see it as a great asset in your work with us. However, it is important to emphasize that this is not a requirement.
Within Purchasing/Purchasing Quality at Saab Dynamics in Karlskoga, we work with various product groups divided into two sections. The current product groups include Mechanics, Non-metallic Materials, Electronics, Systems, and Impact/Propulsion. The location for the role can be discussed depending on who you are and the conditions we see. We have offices in both Karlskoga and Stockholm (Solna Strand). As travel between locations may occur, we expect you to have a valid driver's license.
