Our operations
In infectious diseases, adult patients with severe infections, communicable diseases, tropical medicine diseases, and immunodeficiency diseases are treated. Infectious diseases have an interesting aspect in that we can follow development through human history and its global connections, allowing interaction with patients of various ages and life stages. We are an acute care department where all patients are admitted via the emergency department or the infectious diseases clinic. Infectious disease care often involves solving puzzles in teams from a person-centered perspective.
The infectious diseases area is entering an exciting development phase, and we are seeking more engaged employees who are ready to think innovatively. Last year, we implemented changes in the department, such as streamlining rounds, daily management, and healthier working hours as part of creating an even better working environment.
We work in teams around the patient, and various functions on the department support the work surrounding the patient. There are nursing assistants, nurses, physicians, clinical pharmacists, department pharmacists, dietitians, kitchen assistants, social workers, medical secretaries, receptionists, staffing assistants, training nurses, care-leading nurses, and quality-assured nurses. These professionals can assist with ADL assessments, discharge planning, and consultation regarding complex nursing assessments.
