**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Study guidance is aimed at students who are not yet able to follow instruction in Swedish and who risk not meeting the knowledge requirements that must be achieved in one or more subjects. As a study guide, you support students in their language and knowledge development using their mother tongue and act as a cultural and linguistic bridge. You will work closely with subject teachers. This position involves only study guidance. Mother tongue teachers and study guides in Höganäs municipality are organized by a central unit, the Multilingualism Unit.
In the role of study guide, the following tasks will be included:
- Support the student's knowledge development by alternating study guidance in their mother tongue and Swedish to reinforce new words and concepts.
- Guide students in learning strategies, such as study techniques.
- Participate in collegial learning, staff meetings, and professional development that takes place at the workplace.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Ukrainian as a mother tongue. For the position, it is required that you have passing grades in Swedish/Svenska som andraspråk (Swedish as a second language) at the upper secondary level or equivalent, as well as good knowledge of the Swedish school system. Academic education, particularly with a pedagogical focus, is an advantage. Good collaboration skills are essential. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
