The Multilingualism Unit organizes mother tongue instruction, study counseling, and the reception of newly arrived students. The teachers in the unit instruct in 24 different languages.
Through collegial learning, we continuously strive to improve and develop educational practices. Our focus is on pedagogical development, professionalism, and workplace satisfaction. The unit has meeting rooms and workspaces in the Dergård area, next to Lerum Gymnasium, centrally located in Lerum with easy access by train/bus. In your role, you will provide study guidance for students in the mother tongue Latvian and teach in the mother tongue Russian at all school levels, including both primary and secondary education.
We are looking for someone who is a positive force in the workplace and has an easy time creating and maintaining good social relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You have a developmental leadership style and are a good listener. Essentially, you are someone who easily finds solutions in challenging situations.
The position requires proficiency in handling digital tools.
For a permanent position, a teaching certificate is required. At least high school qualifications or equivalent is mandatory. Completion of SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) and at least SAS Basic or equivalent is necessary. Higher education qualifications are advantageous.
A driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are desirable.
