**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The Language and Competence Center is responsible for welcoming newly arrived students, providing mother-tongue instruction, and offering study guidance within Växjö Municipality. The unit also has a competence assignment concerning reception, assessment, and study guidance.
We are looking for someone to join our team at the Language and Competence Center as a study guide. As a study guide, you will support students in their language and knowledge development using their mother tongue, acting as a cultural and linguistic bridge. This will be achieved through close collaboration with the student's mentor and teaching staff at the primary schools.
Study guidance can take place before, during, and after lessons based on the student’s and subject's needs. This means you will work both in classes and individually with students in consultation with subject teachers. You will also work with students of various ages. The position is based at the high school level.
The job involves collaboration with students, guardians, and school staff.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
We prefer that you have post-secondary education, preferably in education, and experience in study guidance. Attributes such as teamwork and flexibility are important in this role since your work will be in close collaboration with others.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has very good knowledge of the study guidance language in both spoken and written forms,
- Has at least a passing grade in Swedish or Swedish as a second language 2 at the high school level,
- Has good knowledge of Swedish culture and the Swedish school system,
- Is used to taking significant personal responsibility and can work independently.
The position is subject to the necessary approvals. The role is for 20% SÄVA.
