JOB DESCRIPTION
The Language and Competence Center is responsible for the reception of newly arrived students, mother tongue education, and study guidance within Växjö municipality. The unit also has a competence mandate concerning reception, mapping, and study guidance.
We are looking for someone to join our team at SKC for study guidance. As a study guide, you will support students in their language and knowledge development using their mother tongue and act as a cultural and linguistic bridge. This will involve close collaboration with the student's mentor and the teaching staff in primary schools.
Study guidance can take place before, during, and after lessons based on the needs of the student and the subject. This means you will work both in the classroom and individually with students in consultation with subject teachers. You will also be working with students of various ages. The position is based at a primary school within Växjö municipality.
The work involves collaboration with students, guardians, and school staff.

QUALIFICATIONS
We prefer candidates with a post-secondary education, preferably in education, and experience in study guidance. Qualities such as teamwork and flexibility are essential for this position as your work will involve close collaboration with others.
We are looking for someone who:
- has excellent knowledge of the language used for study guidance, both spoken and written
- has at least a passing grade in Swedish or Swedish as a second language level 2 at the high school level
- has a good understanding of Swedish culture and the Swedish school system
- is accustomed to taking significant personal responsibility and can work independently
The position will be filled subject to the necessary decisions being made.
The role is part-time, 20-25% SÄVA, with the possibility of extension.
