Sollentuna Municipality
The Education Office in Sollentuna is responsible, on behalf of the Education Committee, for the school forms of preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, secondary school, and adapted secondary school.
Approximately 19,000 children and students are registered in the municipality.

We are now seeking a skilled Study and Career Counselor for our Navigator program!
Navigator is Sollentuna Municipality's service for young people between 16 and 20 years old who are outside of school and employment. We provide guidance and individually tailored support to help them move forward towards studies, internships, work, or a meaningful daily life.

Job Description
As a Study and Career Counselor within the Municipal Activity Responsibility (KAA), you have an important mission: to support young people between 16 and 20 years old who are outside of studies and employment through guidance and motivation conversations. You help young people explore their opportunities, strengthen their motivation, and find their own path forward – towards studies, internships, work, or other meaningful activities.
The position is located at the Education Office, within the Support and Development department.
- Map young people's needs and interests, and establish action plans together with them
- Create trusting relationships with young people and offer in-depth guidance conversations
- Motivate return to studies, internships, work, or other interventions
- Conduct continuous conversations and follow up on interventions
- Work proactively to contact young people covered by KAA
- Collaborate with schools, social services, employment agencies, healthcare, civil society, and other actors
- Document work according to applicable guidelines and contribute to statistics and follow-up
Qualifications
- Academic degree in Study and Career Counseling
- Experience working within KAA, social services, secondary school, or labor market interventions
- Experience working with young people aged 16-20
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
Merits
- Training in motivational interviewing (MI), coaching approach, or similar methods
- Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities, mental health, and other factors affecting young people's establishment
- Multilingualism
- Good knowledge of the school system, study and career paths, and youth conditions
- Experience working proactively, individually, and relationship-based
- Driver's license (B)
