Student Worker for Meeting Places and Team at Araby Park Arena

The Work and Learning Department - the department for full employment - has approximately 200 employees and works from a holistic perspective where labor market, education, and integration issues meet and are managed. The department is responsible for Araby Park Arena together with the Culture and Leisure Administration. The arena is operated with an extra focus on developing areas of environment, learning, employment, sports, and culture. As a student employee based at Araby Park Arena, your role will be as a supervisor, where you'll be part of a team working to offer meaningful leisure activities primarily for children and youth. Daily work involves delivering the best possible reception and service to visitors, leaders, tenants, and others who come to Araby Park Arena. The job also involves good collaboration and presence at the municipality's other meeting places. Job tasks include: • Offering, developing, and participating in activities/programs for children and families during the day and youth in the evening. • Developing our operations with goals of integration, improved school results, establishment, and strengthened public health. • Contributing to safety and well-being inside and around Araby Park Arena. • Creating relationships and working preventively and norm-setting in daily interactions with children and youth. • Planning and implementing events such as holiday activities, Family Day, etc. • Coordinating and collaborating with other meeting places and activities in the area. • Working with our priority groups: children, youth, girls, and women. • Contributing to positive development of the Araby district in various ways. Working hours are during the day, evening, and weekends. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking candidates currently studying Sports Management, Sociology, or a program deemed equivalent by the employer. You should have completed at least 120 ECTS credits in your education to be considered for the position. Interest and experience working with youth, children, and families in a multicultural and developing environment is meritorious. It's important that you have a genuine interest in working with children of all ages, youth, and families, with the aim of motivating and guiding them towards a valuable leisure time in social and norm-setting contexts. Previous experience in integration and employment with a focus on women is meritorious. You are confident, flexible, stress-resistant, have social skills, and a pedagogical approach. You have good collaboration abilities but can also work independently. It's important that you want to work on developing operations in collaboration with other actors, such as non-profit associations and organizations.
