We are seeking a student biologist or environmental scientist with a focus on conservation biology, ecology, botany, and faunistics to work alongside our employed environmental specialist in natural environments within the maintenance operational area.
**Student Employee as Technical Engineer/Biologist**
**Job Responsibilities**
As a student employee with us, you will serve as a resource in the environmental section at the Swedish Transport Administration's Maintenance division, handling data input and output in our system support, Miljöwebb Landskap. Responsibilities may also include assisting in writing management plans or execution descriptions and supporting the environmental specialist with other administrative tasks. Short fieldwork in SkÄne related to infrastructure may be included during the semester.
It is advantageous if you have experience and courses in GIS, such as working with Esri's software ArcGIS Pro/Online and Field Maps, so please mention this in your application. The employment will last for the semester, with the possibility of extension for additional semesters. The student employee is expected to start in February 2026.
**Additional Information**
As part of our team, you will work 25%, which corresponds to approximately 10 hours per week. We understand the importance of adapting work hours to your studies, and therefore we will discuss working hours together to ensure they fit your schedule. Please indicate in your application if you are available and interested in fieldwork with surveys in SkĂ„ne, SmĂ„land, or Ăstergötland full-time during May-August outside of the semester.
**Qualifications**
**Who are you?**
You are solution-oriented and have the ability to engage with various tasks. You are motivated by active collaboration, taking responsibility for your work while being mindful of how you contribute to the overall team by working with others.
- You are studying full-time at the university level in biology or environmental science with a focus on ecology/conservation and have completed at least 180 higher education credits.
- You must not have started a doctoral program.
- You have passed advanced courses at the university level in ecology and botany.
