We are seeking individuals for several of our children, youth, and young adults who are planning to take a longer study break or want a side job alongside their studies.
As a personal assistant, the personal chemistry between the assistant and the client is extremely important. That's why we put a great deal of effort into matching you with the right client!
In most cases, you do not need prior experience as a personal assistant, but it is important that you are genuinely interested in working with people and that you are flexible, reliable, and empathetic. To thrive in this role, it is essential that you are creative and can take initiative. Equally important is the ability to step back and allow the client to take center stage in interactions with family and friends.
Work tasks vary among different clients but may include helping with various types of training at home or in the gym, participating in leisure activities, transfers between aids, communication training, and personal hygiene/care. Several of our clients have extensive care needs that may include tube feeding, medication administration, and supervision – tasks that require a strong sense of responsibility. Some assignments involve assisting at school, in the client's home, or workplace, while others are solely based at home. Travel with the client may be required.
Working hours vary based on client needs and can be during the day, afternoon/evening, active night, or night with on-call sleeping, including weekdays and weekends. Please indicate in your application which times you are interested in working and to what extent. We also want to know why you want to work as a personal assistant!
If you are the right person, we can offer a quick and secure employment on a full-time or part-time basis!
