About FMLOG and the Procurement Unit The procurement unit of the Swedish Armed Forces is part of FMLOG (Swedish Armed Forces Logistics) and is responsible for the Armed Forces' procurements and purchases in accordance with applicable procurement legislation. The work we carry out is crucial for the Armed Forces' supply as well as strategic and operational success. We operate according to a well-established category management methodology. The procurement unit consists of seven departments geographically spread across Sweden. We are currently seeking strategic buyers for our department of External Goods and Services. Main Responsibilities In your role as a strategic buyer, you will: • Independently plan and execute procurements of varying complexity, from developing commercial strategies, conducting needs analyses and market research prior to procurement, to developing procurement documents, performing bid evaluations, and leading supplier negotiations while ensuring business integrity is maintained. • Be responsible for maintaining strong business relationships with your suppliers and ensuring continuous contract management and follow-up with your suppliers. • Build and develop strong relationships with our clients and customers throughout the entire organization of the Armed Forces. Qualifications Required qualifications for the position include: • A university degree in law, economics, logistics, procurement, or a related field, or a vocational education with a commercial focus and relevant work experience. • At least three years of current experience in conducting procurements. • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. • Solid knowledge of MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Meritorious It is advantageous if you have any of the following experiences: • Experience in category management procurement. • Familiarity with procurement regulations LOU/LUFS and contract law. • Experience in business negotiations. • Experience in project management or project work. • Work experience in large complex organizations. • Experience working in organizations undergoing change.
