Åre Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality, and we welcome applicants with linguistic and cultural knowledge of Sámi.
As a strategist, you are responsible for supporting employees, maintaining, developing, and coordinating IT and digitalization in the municipality's preschools and primary schools. You are expected to stay updated through monitoring of trends to be able to educate and support staff in preschools and primary schools regarding digital development, software, applications, web services, and other digital tools.
Your responsibilities include being a system administrator, managing permissions, handling accounts and equipment. You will manage hardware, licenses, web services, and applications. System administration of Google Work Space, Zappa, Unikum, Schoolsoft student records, and Skola24.
The role also includes maintenance and development of e-services, school transport programs, and the digitalization page. Administration and processing of agreements for educational materials and digital resources. Purchasing digital tools for primary schools and preschools (hardware and software).
We prefer candidates with an academic background, preferably in the IT field. Previous experience working as an IT strategist or in a supporting role driving IT development within education is an advantage.
Your approach towards students, guardians, educators, management, and other staff is service-oriented and collaborative. You communicate clearly and have a strong command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You understand and can communicate in English. You take initiative and structure your tasks through planning and prioritization.
You possess strong analytical and strategic skills, as well as technical competence and knowledge of software management. You are attentive to the needs of various departments.
