Strängnäs Fastighets AB and Strängnäs Bostads AB are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Strängnäs municipality, with a total portfolio of approximately 288,000 square meters of facilities and housing. Today, we are about 100 employees working in areas such as maintenance, administration, property development, cleaning, and property management. **JOB DESCRIPTION** As a Sustainability Strategist, you will play a central role in driving and developing our sustainability efforts forward. You will be responsible for formulating strategies, managing, coordinating, and following up on the sustainability work of Strängnäs Fastighets AB and Strängnäs Bostads AB. You will ensure that the organization meets applicable environmental requirements and sustainability goals, and report annually according to VSME. You will conduct internal controls, risk and vulnerability analyses, and identify business risks related to sustainability. In this role, you will closely collaborate with Strängnäs municipality's group controller for sustainability and the corresponding function at SEVAB. You will keep yourself updated on current laws, regulations, and trends in sustainability, and provide internal training to enhance knowledge within the organization. You will also communicate with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability efforts. You will be responsible for ensuring that sustainability work is conducted efficiently and in a structured manner that complies with established requirements, which is crucial for maintaining the organization’s reputation as a responsible community actor. As an advisor on environmental and sustainability issues, you will support the management, operations, projects, and tenants of the organization. You will work on identifying improvement opportunities and proposing measures to reduce the organization’s environmental impact (long-term sustainability work). You will follow up on our work with Agenda 2030 and ensure its integration throughout the organization. The position is located in the administration, and you will report directly to the CEO. **QUALIFICATIONS** To thrive in this role, you enjoy rapid shifts between operational, tactical, and strategic work, and you have a strong interest in development issues. You are structured and self-driven, with the ability to manage your own processes towards clear results. At the same time, you are communicative and receptive, and you easily build good and trusting relationships. You can adapt your message to different target groups and have the ability to make complex issues understandable and engaging. You enjoy giving presentations, fostering participation, and getting others involved in the change process. With energy and enthusiasm, you inspire engagement and participation in the companies' transition towards a more sustainable future. **Qualifications** - Relevant higher education in urban planning, sustainability work, or equivalent. - Experience (at least 5 years) in sustainability work, sustainability reporting, or sustainability follow-up in a larger organization. - Experience leading projects and working cross-functionally in an organization. - Structured, independent, effective, and possess good collaborative skills. - Strong communication skills and very good oral and written abilities. - Ability to engage employees within the organization. - Ability to make independent decisions. - Manual B driver's license. **Meritorious** - Experience from municipal and politically governed operations. - Previous experience with environmental certification such as Miljöbyggnad. - Knowledge of applicable laws and other requirements (e.g., Agenda 2030, ISO 14001). - Experience in conducting internal training or working with internal audits/internal controls. **OTHER** With us, you are part of a customer-oriented company that dares to think innovatively and where you can contribute to societal benefit every day.
