Storängsgården is located approximately two kilometers south of Finspång's city center.
We have 72 apartments distributed across ten departments. The care forms offered are residential care and dementia-focused residential care. We have a residential care unit with a Finnish orientation, as Finspång municipality is a Finnish administrative area. We strive to offer our Finnish-speaking residents Finnish-speaking staff and to acknowledge Finnish traditions.
Our facilities include a well-equipped activity room, café space, and sun room. We also have a gymnasium, sauna, hair salon, and assembly hall. We can also boast two beautiful inner courtyards with space for parties, activities, and socializing.
In addition to nursing assistants and care assistants, the facility also employs multiple team leaders, specialist nurses, and registered nurses. Residents also have access to doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and dental care as needed. Additionally, we have therapy dogs and several external actors who enrich residents' daily lives with activities.

Your Future Tasks
You will perform standard care and support services for, with, and on behalf of our residents. Your tasks include personal care, social support and activities, meal support, and delegated medical tasks. Service tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation are also included.
You will also take on the role of contact person for one or more residents, which involves specially listening and catering to their individual needs and wishes, as well as creating/updating implementation plans. You will document and work based on individually developed care and implementation plans in the Lifecare system.
Work hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts, with every other weekend according to the schedule. Initially, you will be placed and introduced to your primary department. In the long term, you are expected, like all employees in the unit, to also work in other departments as needed.

We are seeking someone with a genuine interest in human interactions who wants to help develop and future-proof elderly care in Finspång municipality. You are a responsible, service-oriented, and empathetic person who does their best to ensure our residents receive good care. You work according to established routines and methods, while also handling changes and unforeseen events. Independence and personal responsibility are central, but you also collaborate well with colleagues, team leaders, unit managers, and other actors. You have a positive attitude towards your work and approach challenges in a solution-focused and curious manner. You also take responsibility for your own and your colleagues' work environment through good treatment and communication. An ethical and professional approach permeates your work, whereby you treat both colleagues and residents professionally and respectfully, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation, age, disability, or gender identity or expression.
We expect you to communicate well in Swedish and Finnish, both verbally and in writing. Experience and knowledge of dementia care is desirable.
