Disability Care in Umeå Municipality wants to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life, through proximity and interaction.
Within specialized housing, there are group and service accommodations under LSS for individuals with intellectual and/or psychological disabilities.
Herrgårdsvägen 7 is a specialized housing facility with six residents who have different types of disabilities and varying degrees of independence. Each resident lives in a fully-equipped apartment with access to a shared kitchen and living room. The operation has a strong focus on promoting individual independence, which permeates all work tasks.
