Within the social care administration, approximately 1,200 committed employees work to provide support and care for those in need in our community. The work is carried out in elderly care, home care, support for disabilities, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.
The department for disabilities and social psychiatry is one of three departments within the social care administration. The department is responsible for LSS residences, daily activities, housing support, short-term accommodation, and personal assistance. We are about 250 employees who work with a strong commitment, focusing on individual needs and believing in each person's abilities. We work purposefully to ensure that our operations have high competence and quality.
Within the department, we promote collaboration between workplaces and competency development for our employees. Therefore, we work in collaboration groups to help cover the needs of our operations and share knowledge and ideas between workplaces. This means that as a future employee, you will have a primary workplace where you will spend the majority of your shifts, although some shifts may be conducted at different locations.
We are now looking for a support educator for Nattviolsvägen in Nybrostrand. Nattviolen consists of three sections: White, Blue, and Yellow Anemone, with a total of eleven residents. The work is directed toward individual group 1 according to §9:9 LSS for adults, which means that we have experience in addressing both care work and challenging behaviors. Our focus is always to provide individually tailored support, create safety, and help each resident develop in a positive and respectful environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a support educator, you will be part of the user-centered work where you are expected to provide support and service to the users both in the execution of support and in a guiding role for the rest of the workgroup. You will also be expected to assist in documentation and writing of action plans. The work also involves planning and quality assurance of activities and fundamental values. You will contribute to planning, leading, and evaluating the educational work in collaboration with colleagues, coordinators, and the unit manager.
To succeed in this role, you need to be confident in yourself and have the ability to inspire others to achieve collectively set goals. You are flexible in your approach and thrive in a changing environment. We recognize your interest in developmental issues, your ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practice, and your responsibility for your own learning. You are easy to collaborate with and enjoy working both independently and in a group. The work involves many points of contact, so you need to be able to collaborate both within and outside the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in working with people and who meets each user based on their individual needs and wishes. You are self-assured, stable, and possess a good ability to create and maintain relationships, both with users and colleagues. You work in a structured and responsible manner, are comfortable working independently and have a natural inclination to guide and support others in their work.
You who are applying should have:
• 200 credits in higher vocational education as a Support Educator or equivalent education as assessed by the employer.
• Knowledge of methods for effective engagement
• Experience in encountering and managing challenging behavior
• Good computer proficiency
• Proficiency in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• A valid B driver's license
We expect you to have a good understanding of the target group and at least one year of experience in the field. It is also an advantage if you have competence in methods such as Clear Pedagogy, Sign Language as Support, and Low-Intensity Approaches.
