About this role
Stenungsund, the good community with a belief in the future and development centered around people and nature.
Stenungsund Municipality is an expanding coastal municipality with approximately 28,030 residents, a strong business sector, residential areas close to the sea, and good communication opportunities. The municipality has a well-developed cultural and community life, as well as excellent conditions for outdoor activities and recreation. Wholeness, openness, participation, and transparency are the guiding principles of the municipality.
The municipality's vision is to reach 35,000 residents by 2035. Stenungsund Municipality is part of the Gothenburg region's municipal federation, which serves as a forum for cooperation and exchange of experiences, as well as several other inter-municipal collaborations.
The municipality is organized into an administration with four sectors. The Social Services Sector includes four services: special housing/public health and medical care, individual and family care, regular housing/personal assistance, and support for disabilities.
In the area of disability, interventions are implemented according to the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons) and the Social Services Act (SoL), aimed at individuals with various disabilities. The interventions are designed to strengthen the individual’s opportunity to actively participate in community life and to live and reside under safe conditions, with respect for self-determination and privacy. Group homes/support housing, daily activities, short-term residences, and various respite forms are some of the support functions available. All instances in the chain contribute to qualitative and safe support for persons with disabilities.
Within the Social Services Sector, work is done with optimized staffing, which means you will be able to work across various units beyond your current placement.
