**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Are you a driven, development-oriented individual with the appropriate pedagogical training? Then this position is right for you! We are looking for a support pedagogue for Byggmästaregatan’s LSS service facility in Hörby. The service facility is a residence for adults and currently has responsibility for 10 users who live in their own service apartments. The residents are aged between approximately 30 and 60 years old. The residence is associated with a common area, referred to as a base facility, which is in close proximity to the residents' apartments.
As a support pedagogue with us, you will have a rewarding and meaningful job with significant responsibilities. Your mission, together with the rest of the team, is to ensure that the residents receive a positive response and personalized support in their daily lives, shaped by their needs and wishes. The work includes all tasks typical of a household, as well as caring, social, and practical support inside and outside the home. By developing and empowering the user in their daily life, you assist them in living as independently as possible. We work from a salutogenic approach where each individual should have a comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful existence.
In addition to other responsibilities as an employee within the Disability Support Services in Hörby Municipality and the work directly connected to users, the tasks of a support pedagogue include:
- Guiding and implementing pedagogical methods in user-focused work. This includes developing educational materials for staff.
- Ensuring the pedagogical work is developed in close collaboration with the unit manager and other support pedagogues.
- Working with core values and quality from a user perspective that promotes user participation, self-determination, and dignity.
- Supporting the work group in developing effective working methods in the user-focused work.
- Guiding colleagues in writing and updating implementation plans.
- Continuously updating knowledge regarding pedagogical and evidence-based practices and informing and mentoring the team on these topics.
- Working toward the implementation of various types of alternative and supplementary communication tailored to the individual user’s needs.
- Searching for, sorting, gathering, and disseminating facts, information, and new insights relevant to user-focused work.

Scheduled working hours include daytime, evenings, weekends, and nights (sleep-in duty).
**QUALIFICATIONS**
To work as a support pedagogue, you need, in addition to a high school education, at least 200 vocational college points or 60 higher education credits. The education should have a clear focus on behavioral science, disability studies, or other relevant qualifications for the position.
You have experience working within LSS, good self-awareness, the ability to reflect on your own strengths and weaknesses, and a respectful demeanor with strong empathetic skills. You understand the value of good collaboration with colleagues and other stakeholders. You are calm and stable, responsive, reflective, and analytical in your thinking. It is essential that you can take initiative, focus on opportunities and solutions, and have a strong will and drive to promote people’s development based on their needs.
Significant emphasis is placed on the individual’s engagement, pedagogical perspective, and clarity in communication.
Experience with clear pedagogical practices, low-arousal responses, and alternative communication methods, such as TAKK, is advantageous.
A valid driver's license is desired.
